News Update! More Changes at Eat Auckland
Hi I’m Mary Taylor, and I’m enjoying being the new owner of Eat Auckland Tours. If you’ve already met me, you’ll know that food is my passion and my mission is “through food, an insight into another world”. Covid has limited our ability to travel to another world, but fortunately Auckland has a richly diverse and incredibly interesting food scene. See Lincoln Tans NZ Herald article on how EatAuckland can help you taste the world without travelling overseas.
One of my biggest regrets was not being able to visit Sri Lanka; to not being able to wake amidst the verdant tea plantations and start the day with a high country tea nor eat my favourite fish dish- Fish Ambul Thiyal; fish cooked with the sweet and sour taste of goraka; well that was until I discovered Panmure with its 3 Sri Lankan Restaurants; two Sri Lankan Grocery Outlets and a Café where we can indulge in a high country large leaf Ceylon tea.
I also miss the thrill of catching and then eating the Dragon fly soup in Bali but have yet to find a local source!!!
Tour dates are being continually updated and now include the Hidden Secrets of Panmure and A Taste of Sri Lanka in Panmure. Other new tours are still being developed
Hope to see you soon!
